What this mantra is

A plain reading: we honour the fragrant three-eyed one who nourishes all beings; as a ripe cucumber is freed from its stem, may we be released from what binds us, and not from life itself.

How to practise

  1. Sit quietly and read the verse once before chanting.
  2. Chant at a slow, even pace, half a line per breath if needed.
  3. Keep the volume low and the shoulders soft.
  4. Close by sitting still for a minute without chanting.

Notes

Cautions
  • Shoonyaka makes no healing or medical claim for any mantra.
  • If chanting during acute distress increases agitation, stop and return to slow natural breathing.

Practise gently

Shoonyaka offers educational wellbeing guidance, not medical advice or treatment. Practise seated or lying safely, never while driving, in water, or operating equipment. Stop immediately and return to natural breathing if you feel dizzy, faint, breathless, numb, panicked, painful, or unwell. If you are pregnant, under 18, have a heart, blood-pressure, neurological or respiratory condition, or are recovering from illness or surgery, seek guidance from a qualified healthcare professional before breath retention or unfamiliar breathwork.
